January Favorites

24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil - $19
For Christmas, my parents bought me an Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette.  I lucked out because Ulta was having a promotion at the time of purchase. I received travel-size samples of Lush Lash mascara and 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil (color - zero).  I'm really glad I had the chance to try both products out.  I'm not a huge fan of the mascara, but I absolutely LOVE the eyeliner.  It goes on super smooth, and once it's applied it lasts the whole day without smudging.  Ever since I started using cream/gel eyeliner, I swore off eye pencils forever, but I find myself using this product quite often.  The price is pretty steep ($19), but it really is the best eye pencil I've tried thus far.  FYI: there are 24 brilliant shades available.  Clicky here to buy...
Lumene Vitamin C+ Bright Skin Nectar - $21.99
A few weeks ago, I discovered this Vitamin C Serum at Ulta.  I had never heard of this brand before, but I decided to take a chance and try it out anyway.  This nectar really moisturizes well.  My skin tends to dry out during the colder seasons, so I've been incorporating this into my daily beauty regimen.  It really evens out its texture and adds brightness.  I apply two pumps of product all over my face (after toner), and I wake up with dewy, glowing skin!  Clicky here to buy...

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Body Wash - $7.99
I can't stop using this body wash.  It smells so amazing, and a little goes a long way.  I squeeze a dime-size amount into my loofah, and it lathers marvelously.  As a plus, it also prevents body break-outs.  YAY for clear skin!  FYI: Ulta always has coupons available ($3.50 off $10, $10 off $60), so keep that in mind while you shop =) If in case you're not interested in the aforementioned promotions, Walmart carries this product for $6.97.  Clicky here for Ulta and here for Walmart...

Bliss Super-sized Lemon + Sage Body Butter - Originally $49, on sale for $16.97

I don't usually spend a lot of money on body lotions.  I'm perfectly content using the Aveeno I buy in bulk at Costco, but when I saw this product on sale at Nordstrom rack for $17, I figured I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did because this lotion is awesome! It absorbs quickly, and doesn't feel greasy at all.  Also, the citrusy scent is refreshing yet subtle. Slather it on yours legs before bed to wake up with ridiculously soft skin.  Check out your nearest Nordstrom Rack, guys!  They have amazing discounts on "higher-end" cosmetics and beauty products like Urban Decay and Stila.  If you're interested in checking this product out, clicky here.

E.L.F. Beauty Haul

In today's post I'll be reviewing products from E.L.F. Cosmetics.

From left to right - click to purchase:
6.  Fan Brush

The first four brushes are part of the E.L.F. Studio collection - they each cost $3.  I definitely recommend these tools for everyday girls like myself.  They shed a bit, but washing the brushes helps a lot - it eventually gets rid of the issue more or less.  The small angled brush is perfect for applying gel/cream eyeliners.

Brushes 5-7 are part of the E.L.F. Essential collection - they cost $1 each.  I was really disappointed with the quality of the product, but then again, they only cost a dollar each.  With that said, they're "ok" for the price.  I'd definitely cough up a few more bucks and purchase brushes from the Studio collection.

I initially bought the lip glaze ($1) because of the great online reviews.  Overall, this product is pretty awesome considering the low cost.  I'm really glad I bought the glaze in Baby Doll.  The shade is subtle and natural, and I love the way the plumper tingles on my lips!  Be warned though, the color wears off quite easily, and the tubes don't hold much product.

The cream eyeliner on the other hand ($3) is AMAZING!  The color stays on for such a long time, and it doesn't smudge at all. I'm definitely going to experiment with the other colors.  This product also comes with a cute mini-brush that works really well.
